Scorpions paying Tribute to Ronnie James Dio

They dedicated “Send Me An Angel” to Ronnie. And to echo my friend Gil on this site. Ronnie was a one of kind singer and performer. I was always blown away on how such a small person had such a powerful voice. Please take a moment and listen to Dio’s music this week. Ronnie we will miss you and we will always love you!!!

RiP Ronnie James Dio (1942 – 2010)

This is not Scorpions related per se, but I felt this needed to be said.

I wanted to write a short note to express my condolences to the family, friends, and fans of Ronnie James Dio.

I saw him perform 5 times over the last 8 years, a few times opening up for the Scorpions. He always put on an awesome show. I never got to meet him in person, but I was able to touch “devil horns” with him at the end of a show in Austin, TX. He seemed like a truly nice guy which is more and more rare in today’s world.  He was a true vocal talent.

This week I will be listening to all of my Dio, Black Sabbath (Dio era), and Heaven and Hell CDs as my own personel tribute to RJD. Rock on brother.  You will be missed by many. I believe that you indeed knew how much you were loved, and you were still a humble man to show for it. Rest in peace.

Bear With Us

Once again please bear with us, everyone, as we transition to a new web host.  I’m trying to get it as close as possible to before, but that may be impossible. Rock on!
