Also on a side note they have moved back the American release date of this DVD to a later date. There should be a Official release date in North America coming in the next month. Sorry for the confusion in the last couple weeks over the release of this historical DVD here in America. Management and the record label keeps changing the dates and it’s out of my control. Please Keep the Faith this DVD is worth the wait.

Many of the songs chosen we had on our setlist anyway, but there were also many surprises.Together with Michael Schenker, Uli Jon Roth and Herman Rarebell this show at Wacken gave us a great platform to journey through time — 35 years of SCORPIONS history!”A Night to remember” it was indeed, a night to remember with an audience of 60.000 die hard metal fans who celebrated with us that the SCORPIONS got the sting and rock you like a Hurricane! Thanks to everybody… Enjoy the Show!

Scorpions Thanks for a great 2007 and hoping for an even better 2008

I hope in early January the Scorpions will make an announcement on their touring/band plans for 2008.. If so i will post ASAP..Here are a few things that might happen in 2008:

1) It looks like a Second Edition of the Living Tour of Russia will begin in early April and end April 25 in Moscow.
2) James Kottak was quoted in the latest 22nd Century Rock Magazine saying that the Scorpions are planning an extensive USA tour starting around May 1 and there will be 60 to 70 shows scheduled…
3) I expect the Scorpions to go back to Japan and Germany for more shows..
4) Hopefully they will play Australia in 2008
5) And hopefully The Wacken DVD show will be released early 2008 in North America…
6) And maybe they will announce if there will be another new studio CD in the future..Hopefully a ” Humanity Hour 2″ with Desmond Child and James Michael producing…
7) How about a New Live 2-CD set from the Humanity Tour.. maybe a title that connects the old with the new.. Call it ” World Wide Humanity Live”

All Scorpions fans should be thankful that 2007 was a successful year for the band.. They released a great new CD. With all fans and rock critics around the world saying it was their best since Crazy World(1990)..they played over 70 shows this past year and traveled all over the world..
And 2008 looks like it might even be a better year from the guys. I would like to thank everyone this year in making our new Scorpions site a success. Alot of fans around the world emailed me alot of great Scorpions news and articles this year. There was not enough space to name all of you. But you know who you are and thank you so much for your support. I also want to thank Gil Morton without him this site would not be here. Thanks so much Gil for your hard work. I think what we discussed back in February about what we wanted to achieve with this site is working. I look forward to working with you in 2008.

Here’s to 2008 “THE RETURN OF THE SCORPIONS IN THE USA”

Happy New Year to the Scorpions and all of the FOS members all around the World!!!

Scorpions Rocks Shillong Like A Hurricane

SHILLONG: They stung and drove Shillongites wild the way no one did before. And the musical hub of the North-East rocked like a hurricane.
Scorpions on Wednesday dazzled the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here with its fiery performance as a hypnotic crowd sang and swayed with the world’s best rockers.
“Here I am, rock you like a hurricane …,” belted out Klaus Meine, star vocalist of the German heavy rock band, pumping more adrenalin into the musical artery of an already charged-up crowd.
Spicing up their show with a mouthwatering mix of ballads and hard rock music, Scorpions started off with its popular number “Always Somewhere” before sending thousands of fans into frenzy with such hits as “Rock You Like a Hurricane,” “Still Loving You,” “Holiday,” “No One Like You,” “Send Me an Angel,” “The Future Never Dies,” “Love Will Keep Us Alive,” “Wind of Change,” “Humanity,” etc.
The rockers from Germany wound up their show by honouring fans’ request for some more songs with the classic “When the Smoke is Going Down.”
Scorpions drew the biggest crowd ever to a concert by any international band in the city so far.
At least 45,000 people turned up for Wednesday’s concert, breaking the earlier record of 40,000-strong crowd during the Fire House concert in 2005.
“We love Shillong. You are amazing people,” the band members said.
The fans welcomed their beloved Scorpions with banners and placards. “The North-East needs a wind of change,” read one banner.
Though the concert ended peacefully, security personnel had a tough time in controlling a section of the audience who almost broke the barricade put up in front of the stage. “Every Shillongite rocks like a hurricane,” a jubilant Urban Affairs Minister Paul Lyngdoh said after the concert, adding half the number of State Cabinet ministers witnessed the event.
It was for the first time that people from various parts of the country, besides the North-East, enjoyed Scorpions performance.
“I enjoyed the show. It was a unique experience,” Eniwel Marwein said.
Many music lovers, who had been Scorpions fans since their childhood, said, “It was as a dream come true.”
Local bands Great Society and Akhai also performed ahead of the Scorpions.
Earlier, Higher Education Minister RG Lyngdoh introduced the band members to the audience.
Scorpions’ Shillong gig was the opening act of the India leg of the hard rock band’s ‘Humanity World Tour.’ The band will perform in Mumbai on December 14 and in Bangalore on December 16.
