For one and a half years, renowned filmmaker Katja von Garnier accompanied the SCORPIONS on what was originally supposed to be the band’s farewell tour. The resulting documentary, “Forever And A Day”, follows the band on the road from Bangkok to Moscow, and culminates in SCORPIONS’ decision to scrap their retirement plans, deciding instead to mark their 50th anniversary in 2015 with a new tour, a new album and the “Forever And A Day” movie.

The North American leg of The Scorpions’ 50th anniversary trek is plotted out through an October 9 performance in Seattle.  The tour won’t stop there, though, as the band also is scheduled to visit a variety of European cities in November, December and February, followed by a series of March 2016 dates in their homeland, Germany.  Jabs tells ABC Radio that The Scorpions also are planning to mount a second North American leg in May of next year.

“We Built This House” is currently #1 on the U.S. Classic Rock Radio Chart.  “We Built This House” is taken from the new album Return To Forever which was just released in North America on September 11, 2015.  Scorpions also kicked off the North American leg of their 50th Anniversary Tour last week which runs through October 9th in the U.S.
