Guitarist Rudolf Schenker of the veteran German hard rockers SCORPIONS has issued the following statement:”Dear fans, during our show last Friday [November 30] in Clermont Ferrand, France I tore a muscle in my foot. Therefore, I was forced to play the rest of the performance in just one area of the stage. “To cancel that concert or to cancel any upcoming performances would disappoint the fans so that was out of the question. “I hope that all the fans will understand that I will not be able to exhibit my full stage energy until my injury heals. “I have consulted with Germany’s best sports medicine physician and I am receiving the best treatment. “I look forward to the future shows where I am able to give my maximum stage performance. Until then, thank you for your continued support and see you in Portugal and India in the coming weeks.”

Rudy Schenker hurt his leg/ankle during the 3rd song “Love’em or Leave’em” at Friday Night’s show in Clermont,France. Rudy standing at the back of the stage playing his guitar to all songs protecting his injured leg finished the show as the true professional he has been for the past 35 years as the founding member of the Scorpions. Most musicians would of left the stage and would of never returned. This is a true sign of how much the fans mean to our beloved Rudolf Schenker. Rudy all of us at scorpnews and all across North America would like to wish you a speedy recovery. You are in our thought’s and prayers…GET WELL RUDY!!!!!!

The December 4th Lisbon – Portugal Scorpions show will be Sell-Out by Showtime. There were less then 1,000 tickets left as of today..

This past weekend on Sirius Radio “23 Hair Nation”, it was “Rock You Like a Hurricane Weekend” with Klaus Meine playing his favorite Scorpions songs. The most important thing to take away here is that for the FIRST TIME EVER, Sirius Channel 23 Hair Nation played NEW MATERIAL from any of the bands they play on the station. Klaus was introducing new songs off of Humanity Hour 1. By getting new material some airplay on satelite this could be a BIG breakthrough for 80’s bands making comebacks. And it appears the Scorpions were the first band who broke this barrier.

Lead singer/Guitar Player Joey Eppard of the Rock band Three says about 10 minutes:15 seconds into this interview that Three might be involved in a Scorpions/Judas Priest Tour in 2008 in the States. Three was the opening act on 12 Scorpions shows this past fall in North America. I’m contacting both Judas Priest and Scorpions mangement for any confirmed information. I know that in the past i have posted 100% correct information and not rumored information in this news section. But i thought this was very important to post ASAP. Let’s keep our fingers crossed on this news topic. This could be the Tour that would put the Scorpions on the map in North America again. When this news story is 100% correct or false i will post with all details on this site. SO STAY TUNE!!!!!
